  • Restore and download information

Your files belong to you. Qept does not claim ownership of the content you upload.

Qept does not intentionally inspect the contents of your archived files except where necessary to provide, secure, maintain, or troubleshoot the service, or where required by law.

When you purchase a subscription, add funds to your wallet, or make another payment, payment information may be processed by our payment providers.

Qept generally does not store your full credit or debit card number.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Qept is designed for long-term archival storage.

Qept does not guarantee that archived data will be retained indefinitely if your account is terminated, payment obligations remain unresolved, the service is discontinued, or deletion is otherwise required under our Terms and Conditions.

Before permanently deleting data where reasonably possible, Qept may provide notices or a retention period.

6. Deleted Data

When you delete an archive or file, it may not be immediately and permanently removed from all systems.

Deletion may involve:

  1. Removing the data from active access;
  2. Marking the data for deletion;
  3. Removing the corresponding cloud storage objects; and
  4. Allowing backups, logs, or other residual copies to expire according to their applicable retention periods.

Certain storage classes may also have minimum storage-duration requirements imposed by the underlying cloud provider.

Accordingly, deletion from Qept does not necessarily mean that every copy is physically destroyed immediately.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Qept service;
  • Maintain your account;
  • Maintain financial and transaction records;
  • Resolve disputes;
  • Prevent fraud and abuse;
  • Maintain security records; or
  • Comply with legal obligations.

When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it.

Qept relies on third-party service providers to operate certain parts of the service.
